Just a wonderful start to my day

"I don't care if you love me, I still hate you"..... words right out of the mouth of my firstborn child. The very child I was in labor with for 40 hours and still ended up getting a c-section with, the same child I nursed for 15 months even with huge obstacles in our way. The same child I have sat up with when he's sick, been to the doctors with more than I see my own friends and spent two days in the hospital with when he had a severe asthma attack. That same child told me he hates me this morning. Somedays I just love motherhood.

Yeah, you gotta love it. Sophia has told me that many times already. I just tell her, "sorry you feel that way." I used to say the same thing to my mom which definitely helps me not take it too personally. Hope he's recovered and back to loving you!

Thanks Cynthia, I don't think I ever told my mom those words. In fact I said a cuss word to her when I was around 13 (I was sheltered) and she slapped my face so hard, I thought she broke my cheekbone. And this from a woman who could cuss like a sailor!

Laura, those were the words that I wanted to say to him SO BAD! I really held off on saying anything more than "Regardless, I love you." when in reality I wanted to do a bit more and say a bit more......

Thanks Jenn, I definitely don't say things like that to my own kids. They learn it at school, on tv and even from their kid friendly movies.... ugh!
